But even the strongest roots can rot from within. The Bloodthorne’s corruption crept in slowly —leaves withering on the edges of her grove, flowers blooming in unnatural crimson hues. Then came the whispers, carried on a wind heavy with decay, promising the strength to protect her people and the forest from the ravages of men. Desperation clouded her judgment, driving her deeper into the heart of the Elderwood, where light and reason faltered.
 
There, the Bloodthorne found her. It did not strike her down but welcomed her, weaving its tendrils into her very being. Her flesh hardened into bark, her veins ran thick with essence-tainted sap, and her luminous eyes dimmed into smoldering embers. Her once-graceful form became twisted and monstrous, towering above the land she had sworn to protect. The Bloodthorne allowed her one fleeting moment of clarity, enough for regret to bloom, before extinguishing her will entirely and binding her to its cause.
 
Now, Ilyanna walks as the Seed of Sorrow, a living vessel of corruption and despair. Her jagged claws lash out with terrifying speed and precision, felling foes as if the forest itself were striking them down. She commands the Bloodthorne’s forces with ruthless efficiency, every thought and motion an extension of its dark will. The whispers that once promised salvation now drive her toward relentless conquest.
 
Her name, once a symbol of peace and reverence, has become a curse. Ilyanna, the guardian of the glades, is no more. In her place stands the Seed of Sorrow — a merciless force of nature, spreading the Bloodthorne’s shadow across the land of Astira.
